Dr. Bogdan Eftimie, co-medical director of the UCSF – Washington Cancer Center in Fremont, California, is a Board Certified Hematologist and Oncologist.  He treats all types of cancers such as breast, colon, lung, prostate, head and neck, melanoma, lymphoma, leukemia etc.; as well as all types of benign blood disorders such as anemia, low platelets, clotting and bleeding disorders.

Dr. Eftimie earned his Medical Degree from Loma Linda University and then completed an internal medicine residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. After 1 year of Chief Residency, he started his fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at University of California, San Diego and completed it in 2008. Dr. Eftimie is proud to have been trained at a medical school where the emphasis on Whole Person Care (physical, emotional and spiritual needs are all attended to) dovetails so naturally with the practice of oncology and hematology. He never ceases to acknowledge the humble truth that the patients whom he treats are also his best educators. He looks forwards to a lifelong of learning.
